Me gusta, me gusta!

The dining room was less about DIY and more about thought. The space was small:

I wanted a big table, yet I didn’t want to sacrifice a feeling of openness. In comes this amazing table we fell in love with at Home Goods. It was perfect; long but narrow. The chairs are from Ikea, we bought two when we moved into our condo after our wedding and bought two more a few weeks ago.

I bought the jazz concert picture a while ago at Target and the chandelier came from Urban Outfitters. The rest of the decor were simply items we already had but I used them in a different way. Since the table and chandelier can be overwhelming I kept the rest of the room pretty simple and let those two pieces speak for themselves. I went with the acrylic chairs for the table because anything wood or metal would evoke country charm instead of industrial chic. The colorful chandelier lends a punch of color without me having to put any on the wall.

This room was easy to do and thankfully evokes ease and simplicity as well!

P.S. Yes that is Miss Bella peeking out the side.
