Greetings from Spain
So I’ve been in Spain for about 52 hours, I must say I love it so far. I am surprised that I am not as culture shocked or overwhelmed as I had originally thought. There was one girl in our group that immediately left the country without even being here for 24 hours. I do not quite get what was so shocking about it. After arriving in Madrid, we drove to the school and the view from the bus made it seem like I was in Texas. Dead grass, with some prettier wild flowers. The architecture is a bit different, but nothing completely unusual. I was expecting.. cobble stone or something. It is quite modern here. I like it though! Although it isn’t so shocking as to make me leave.. homegirl was over exaggerating. I cannot wait to figure out how to upload photos! My laptop is still not working so.. I must learn to navigate the computers here. The keyboards took me a while to master—by a while, I mean about 20 minutes.
I’ll get into more depth sometime later.. just know I made it here safe and I am not having a horrible time. Although the metro will take me a while to get used to.. Adios amigos!
